Inactive Accounts

Credit Unions are legally required to report and remit the member’s assets to the state of Texas once the “dormancy period” has expired. USECU makes several attempts to contact the member before reporting the member’s assets to the state of Texas.

The state of Texas determines the length of time an account can be inactive before it is reportable to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
